Press Release: Rep. Cawthorn Addresses State of COVID-19 in NC-11



(WASHINGTON, DC) – NC-11 Congressional Representative Madison Cawthorn addresses the successes of COVID vaccine and drop in cases within NC-11:

I am exceptionally pleased to see a marked decrease in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in North Carolina and in NC-11.

Across the state our numbers are dropping, and in NC-11, our healthcare workers are reporting very promising results in the recovery of those affected by COVID-19.

I’d like to extend my sincerest thank you to all of our healthcare professionals who have dedicated themselves to fighting this pandemic. You are the heroes that came to our aid in a very uncertain and desperate time.

I want to also thank my staff, who have worked tirelessly to improve the efficiency and transparency of the vaccination process. My district staff has worked with local health officials to ensure vaccinations are equally distributed in NC-11, pressured the governor’s office to provide increased transparency, and directed countless constituents to their correct vaccination sites.

Having toured three different vaccination facilities in the past month, I am encouraged to have the support and expertise of local health professionals, who are on the front lines.

We have all endured this pandemic together, and I am hopeful that we are finally turning the corner.
